CAE/Xwave – Software Specialist 3 (September 2006 – July 2008, August 2009 – Present)

On site at Lockheed-Martin Canada - Halifax Class Modernization Project 2009-present – Underwater Warfare Group – Target Motion Analysis (TMA) Lead

• Designed Target Motion Analysis software – sonar passive ranging – for Halifax class Frigates for the Canadian Navy
• Held meetings with DRDC Atlantic scientists and Navy personnel to gain expert knowledge on TMA algorithms and research
• Created a solution that was a hybrid of cutting edge and traditional TMA techniques
• Implemented solution TMA in Java using Lockheed-Martin infrastructure
• Prototyped system and simulated test cases in Matlab
• Designed GUI, developed visualizations, guided GUI developer through development
• Stayed consistently ahead of aggressive schedule

Advanced Spectroscopic Portal Project 2006-2008 – Nuclear isotope detection system for US Homeland Security, CAE/Xwave was software subcontractor to Raytheon

• Developed system data archival process in C#, producing large XML files to specification, including XML validation
• Held meetings with project scientists to review and correct algorithms for data collection, sensor calibration, and noise reduction. Implemented these algorithms in C++
• Planned and developed Supervisory Computer GUI to specification in C# using user controls and threading
• Used ADO.NET to communicate with MS-SQL database
• Worked on C++ to C# bridge, and some work on Matlab/C++ integration
• Developed in C# for Windows XP, and C++ on XP & CE embedded
• Wrote C++ applications to create test data sets and to feed test data into embedded applications
• Travelled to Boston to participate in and support on-site testing
